"About Thyme is proper good... the kitchen has been staffed with some real, grown-up talent. A real find."

"Plenty of effort is being put in at this new eatery, with reports of 'very good' & 'friendly' service &, for the time being at least, an undeniably appealing three-course lunch menu for £12.50. Outside the frontage is quaint & purple, but inside there’s an impressive sense of space with plenty of cosy corners for those wanting an intimate meal. Starters are simple & pleasing such as a watercress, grilled pancetta & avocado salad, while mains are similarly straightforward, including a ‘to-die-for’ fillet steak at £15.50. And with that the most expensive thing on the menu, attracting custom shouldn’t be a problem.
